Privacy notice
Who is responsible
Brutrøa Gård, represented by Kari L. Finstad, Finstad Vestside 18, 2484 Rendalen, Norway, is the controller for personal data processed through this website. You can call us or send us an email.
We use no cookies
This website stores nothing on your device. There are no cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics and no advertising networks. That is also why you see no consent banner — there would be nothing to ask your consent for.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, the server automatically records your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser. This happens so the site works and to prevent abuse; the legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The logs are not used to track you and are not combined with other information.
Images from Inatur
On the hunting, fishing, ice fishing and booking pages, some images are served from Inatur’s image service at Cloudflare (imagedelivery.net). When those images load, Cloudflare receives your IP address. No cookies are set, and we receive no information about you from that service.
Facebook and Google Maps load only when you ask
The Facebook content on the activities page and the map on the front page do not load automatically. They appear only when you click them. If you choose to load them, Meta or Google receives your IP address and may set cookies in your browser on their own terms. To undo it, simply reload the page — your choice is not stored.
When you contact us
If you email or call, we process the information you provide — typically your name, contact details, preferred dates and number of guests — in order to reply and possibly arrange a stay. The basis is performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Enquiries are deleted when no longer needed, normally within one year, unless accounting rules require longer retention.
Booking happens on Inatur
All booking takes place on inatur.no. Inatur AS is the controller for the information you enter there and has its own privacy notice. We receive the information necessary to host you.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have errors corrected, to request erasure, to request restriction, to object to the processing and to receive your data in a portable form. Send us an email and we will reply as soon as we can, and within one month at the latest. If you believe we process data unlawfully, you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
